0403 Hualien Shoufeng Earthquake Claim Information Update (as of April 24, 2024)

A total of 17 buildings containing insured households have been examined and inferred damaged; among them, 5 buildings have been determined to meet the claim criteria and 12 buildings are needed to be further assessed.

As of April 24, 2024, there are 405 affected insured cases with the exposed insurance amount of approximately NT$647 million; 25 cases out of them have been paid.

For the other affected insured cases, due to the blockade for those buildings and awaiting inspection by the county and city government. TREIF is endeavoring to coordinate disaster prevention units to accelerate the process and assist insurance companies in claim handling.
