0403 Hualien Shoufeng Earthquake Claim Information

After the magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck Hualien County, the East of Taiwan on April 3, 2024, the Taiwan Residential Earthquake Insurance Fund (hereinafter referred to TREIF) has immediately collected the disaster information and sorted out the damaged insured buildings from TREIF's policyholder database. At the same time TREIF released messages in the media and on the Internet, calling on the affected policyholders to report their losses, and asking insurance companies to take the initiative to contact policyholders and assist the affected policyholders to complete the claim process as soon as possible.

 In addition, the "Joint Claim Service Center of TREIF, Life and Non-Life Insurance Association" was established in Hualien disaster area to help the public inquire about insurance status, and assist the affected policyholders on the spot in reporting losses and assessing the damage to policyholders' homes.
