Claim Operation Simulation Programme for Residential Earthquake Insurance
Stipulated on the 21st July 2006
1. Purpose
To imporve the claim operation and information system for Residential Earthquake Insurance, and enforce the cooperation and coordination between all parties, Taiwan Residence Earthquake Insurance Fund (TREIF) built up the Claim Operation Simulation Programme for Residential Earthquake Insurance.
2. Schedule
Taiwan Residence Earthquake Insurance Fund (TREIF) ought to organize the claim operation simulation once a year. Before each simulation, the TREIF should establish a planning group to develop this simulation programme.
3. Organization and Functions
TREIF could invite members of other authorities to take part in the planning group and carry on responsibilities and implement the content of the simulation programme. Supervising authorities could also be invited to provide guidance. The simulation plan should include its duration, scope, presentation, procedure, rehearsal and issues related to propaganda.
4. Participating Units
According to the simulation programme each year, TREIF could invite Insurers, the Non-Life Insurance Association of the Republic of China, the Central Reinsurance Corporation, or staff from other correlative units to participate in the exercise.
5. Expense
All expense derived from the simulation exercise should be drawn up by TREIF.
6. Implementation and Revision
The simulation programme has been drawn by TREIF and implemented after approval of the board of directors, and the revision should also follow the same procedure.
